Formula 1 may have a new team
In the near future, a team from Saudi Arabia may appear in Formula 1, reports grandprix.com with a link to the Italian magazine Autosprint.
According to a source, Crown Prince Salman is interested in creating a team, who met with the former pin up Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, who is also involved in the process.
Saudi Arabia has recently been actively integrating into world motorsport. Since the beginning of the year, the Dakar Rally Marathon, the first stages of the Formula E and Extreme E tournaments have already been held in the country. And in the fall, the city of Jeddah will host the first ever Saudi Arabian Grand Prix – a stage of the Formula 1 championship.
